I am convinced the Bible is the only book in the world to meaningfully describe the purpose of life, the universe and everything. I am further convinced that a lived out Biblical worldview is the best means of providing sustained blessings for this life, and the only worldview that can offer hope and comfort for the life to come. It is my life goal to help as many people as possible to embrace these truths.

I bring 40 years of pastoral experience to this new blog project, most recently finishing a 12-year stint as the senior pastor of a Baptist Church in Calgary. I have an M.Div. from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and completed the course work for a D.Min. in Applied Theology with Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. In the midst of everything else, I spent seven years as a professional journalist and magazine editor.

I have been married to my wonderful wife Jeanne for 45 years, and together we are blessed with two sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law and seven grandchildren.

From October 2018 to January 2021, I was a staff apologist with the apologetics group Faith Beyond Belief, located in Calgary, Alberta. I have spoken at a wide variety of events and have taught at seminaries in Russia, Ukraine and Cameroon. My interests are wide and varied, which means I speak and write on a wide variety of topics. I like to give an apologetics-related connection to everything.
